Gavin Dudeney has worked in education for the past 17 years, as a teacher, teacher trainer, materials developer and IT Manager. Since 2003 he has co-run an online educational training and development consultancy, The Consultants-E, which specialises in distance education, primairly in Moodle. He is a past Coordinator of the IATEFL Learning Technologies Special Interest Group as well as Journal Editor, and currently develops the websites of various SIGs and IATEFL groups. In his spare time he manages an online virtual conference centre in the 3D world Second Life.

Nicky Hockly is Director or Pedagogy for The Consultants-E, an online training and development company which she co-directs, based in Barcelona, Spain ( http://www.theconsultants-e.com ).She has worked in the field of education, both face-to-face and distance, for the past 20 years, as a teacher, teacher trainer and consultant. She has also been involved in materials development, for both course books and online learning. Nicky is co-author of How to Teach English with Technology (Longman 2007), and she is a past Co-ordinator of the IATEFL TTEd SIG (Teacher Trainers and Educators Special Interest Group).
